A romance that will ghost away your stress AND the AmAzInG book deal I scored and how you can too

I've been thinking hard lately.  Like the kind of thinking hard where you are scrunching your eyebrows and don't even know it.  Nothing serious.  Sometimes it's just the mundane aspects of life that are on my mind.  Sometimes, it just takes a lot of energy to plan the day, get everyone what they need, squeak in a bit of physical activity, try to have a semi clean home, etc.  That's the kind of thinking that has worn on my lately.  Maybe it's more trying to cram too much into a day. Maybe it's cabin fever from the winter weather. I bet many of you can relate to this feeling. A bit of a brain break was in order and Ashley Poston certainly fulfilled with The Dead Romantics .  I'm a rom-com fan but never really thought of myself as a romance fan.  I always thought of romance novels as steamy, make me blush, kind of books.  The Dead Romantics  is totally a romance but not in that steamy sort of way - rather like a cozy hug at the perfect moment.  It&#

Why books?

I love reading.  I’m sure many of you could say the same thing. I love tracking the books I read, almost like tracking steps on a fitness tracker.  Turning the pages, getting closer and closer to the end.  It’s brilliant.  I find myself getting lost in the pages, imagining the characters and trying to figure out what will happen next.  I started reading Nicholas Sparks and after reading all his books at the time, I had to move on to another author and stumbled upon Jodi Picoult.  And again after reading all her books, I searched for similar authors and found Diane Chamberlain, then Liane Moriarty.  After that, I changed strategies and branched out. I have explored modern day fiction, historical fiction, medical dramas, legal stories and mysteries.  I think part of my hobby is just researching books to find new ones to explore. I love to pass books on to others, wondering how far that single book goes and how many minds have been captivated by the book.  As my reading journey has expanded, I’ve found that as much as I love reading, turning the pages and predicting the ending, I love sharing about my reading with others - still passing along books, sharing my “books I’ve read” list, talking about a book I’m reading or giving my recommendations and opinions on books to other.  This led me to create “A Lit Hobby” blog.  I’ve never blogged, never thought I’d want to blog, but maybe, now more than ever, this is a means to connect with others.
